After choosing to bowl first, seamer Cam Wallis made a welcome return to wicket-taking form with the new ball by taking three early wickets, and was well supported by the miserly left-arm swing of Ben Leather.

Ollie Gill (3-29) worked hard up the hill to pick up useful middle order wickets, whilst the team worked well in the field to capitalise on most of the chances created. Dougie Roberts and Lewis Hurdley also picked up a wicket apiece, before Wallis (4-42) returned to take the final wicket as Wombourne were dismissed for 168.

In reply, Matt Martin replaced missing skipper Alex Yarnley at the top of the order, and made a solid start to Bridgnorth's reply alongside Andy Carson, as the pair put on an opening stand of 57. After Carson's dismissal for 18, Ben Barclay (40) came out and showed positive intent alongside Martin in a partnership of 91 to all but confirm the result, before both men fell as the winning line approached.

With Martin out for a fine 85 just five runs short of victory, it was left to Andrew Mooney and Mark MacPherson-Lees to complete the job with 15 overs to spare.
