Despite an early wicket for Ben Leather (1-20) the hosts decision to bat first upon winning the toss was thoroughly vindicated as they racked up 257-5 before declaring after 46 overs. Cam Wallis (2-53) and Andy Leather (2-39) each took two scalps apiece, but Bridgnorth struggled to contain a rampant batting line-up.

The reply with the bat never really got going, as mere survival with the bat appeared a difficult task. Andy Mooney top-scored with 19, but Alex Yarnley and Wallis were the only other men to reach double figures, and an entirely one-sided affair ended in the 42nd over with just 71 runs on the board.

Needing a minor miracle to turn around their season, Bridgnorth return home to face BDPCL Reserve Division One league leaders Kenilworth Wardens on Saturday.
