Choosing to bat first, the Cricket Meadow men’s innings was anchored around a maiden club fifty for opener Alex Yarnley. Ben Barclay (36) and Cam Wallis (24) both made useful contributions, but no other meaningful scores in good conditions proved disappointing.

Kidderminster got their reply off to an excellent start, as Charlie Stainforth anchored the hosts successful run-chase with a fine century. Spin twins Steve Caine (2-51) and Yarnley (1-13) took the wickets for the Bridgnorth, but the winning runs were hit with seven overs to spare.

Remaining at the bottom of BDPCL Reserve Division One, Bridgnorth travel to local rivals Shifnal on Saturday, hoping to secure their first win of 2014.
