Choosing to bat first, a number of men got starts but none were able to carry on and get the big score that the Cricket Meadow men so desperately needed. Charles Thornton top-scored with 17, and five others reached double figures but failed to pass 20, and a final score of 112 all out was ultimately not enough to worry the hosts’ batting line-up.
