Inviting the hosts to bat first, the bowlers struggled to contain Adshead (145) as his buccaneering knock dominated the innings. Legspinner Sam Whitney (4-78) proved the most effective, extracting good turn to take the first four wickets for his side.
James Ralph and Tom Weston also took a wicket apiece, but a final total of 257-6 off 55 overs would prove a tough total to chase.
In reply, Ryan Lockley (41) played solidly at the top of the order, whilst Ralph (47) produced a typically fluent innings to put his side on target for an unlikely chase.
However, middle order wickets were then gradually chipped away, reducing the visitors’ hopes of an upset, although Weston (56) once again batted with maturity to keep the runs ticking for Bridgnorth.
Joe Chadwick and Gareth Mumford added a couple of late cameos in an attempt to force a result, however the Cricket Meadow men ultimately fell short in their victory attempt, but saved valuable draw points by finishing their 55 overs on 226-9.
