First team pull off win in rain affected game at Dorridge, seconds overcome Sentinel at home and thirds score hard-earned 24 points at St Georges...

Despite rain delaying the start until late afternoon, Bridgnorth pulled off a remarkable win at Dorridge. Sam Whitney starred with the ball by taking 4-27 to rip through the lower order, after Muhammed Khan opening burst of 3-23 had put the visiting side on top in the second innings.

Earlier, the Cricket Meadow men would have been delighted to reach a strong first innings total of 161-9 off a reduced 22 overs, after being invited to bat first by the home side. Raja Ateeq top-scored with a 43-ball 55, before Whitney (28) and Peter Scott (19) provided vital late cameos to go towards what would prove a match-wining first innings score.

Bridgnorth will travel to Kidderminster on Bank Holiday Monday, hoping for a similarly positive result.

The second team comfortably overcame Sentinel at Cricket Meadow, thanks in part to a superb all-round performance from Alex Yarnley. After skipper Chris Green had taken two early wickets after choosing to bowl first, offspinner Yarnley ran through the visitors middle order to pick up 5-34 as they were dismissed for 153.

The left-hander then went on to top-score with 51 in the following run chase, well supported by fellow opener Charlie Ward (30). Arjun Cherukuri continued his fine recent form with an unbeaten 43, before Joe Smallman added a final flourish with two late boundaries to clinch the win.

The third team dug in to grit out a valuable 24-point win at St Georges, to complete a clean sweep for Cricket Meadow's senior sides. Batting first on a tricky wicket, Sujjay Iyer worked hard to compile a valuable first half century for Bridgnorth, alongside key contributions from Rich Ealey (19) and Noah Bishell (21), before a flamboyant cameo from Hugo Rhodes (18 not out) boosted the final total to 149-6.

Alex Thomas and Guy Black then picked up two wickets apiece with the new ball, but the home side's middle order fought back to keep the result in the balance. Izzy Wedgbury produced a vital accurate spell in the middle order and was rewarded with a key wicket, before a fiery burst from Freddie Ward saw him break through twice more. Iyer then prised out two more wickets, before Bishell finished the job with his first ball in the 28th over.
