Match-winning batsman and Bridgnorth born-and-bred player Simon Gregory has made the move to Halesowen this winter. Having scored nearly 3000 runs for us at Cricket Meadow, Simon has decided to make a new start having moved away from the town last year.

First team captain Dave Exall was quick to thank the highly talented all-round sportsman for all of his efforts on the pitch.

"On his day, Simon could be one of the best and most destructive batters in the league, as well as being an exceptional keeper and a relentless worker in the outfield. He's a big loss to us, but we wish him well as he starts his new life with fiance Jemma.

"I know that Sam (Whitney) as outgoing captain as well as myself would like to thank him for his heart and commitment over the past number of years he's been at the club. He's a Bridgnorth boy and we look forward to welcoming him back to Cricket Meadow when our paths cross."
