Winter Nets

Bridgnorth Cricket Club will begin preparations for the 2012 season with pre-season net sessions at Wolverhampton Grammar School. Sessions will take place as follows:-

Sunday 26th February: 2pm - 3.30pm
Sunday 4th March: 11am - 12.30pm
Sunday 11th March: 11am - 12.30pm
Sunday 18th March: 11am - 12.30pm
Sunday 25th March: 11am - 12.30pm
Sunday 1st April: 11am - 12.30pm

Important season looms for Bridgnorth

The 2012 season is set to be a very important one for Bridgnorth Cricket Club, and particularly for the 1st XI, as they look to bounce back after the disappointment of relegation to Birmingham League Division Three last year. The loss of key players over the winter will add to the tough challenge ahead, but recent previous experience of this position will help in their fight to return to Division Two.

After an excellent, promotion-winning campaign in Reserve Division One last year, the 2nd XI face a tough maiden season in the Birmingham League Reserve Premier, not made easier by likely change in personnel from a strong 2011 line-up. The challenge, however, will be excellent experience for a youthful squad.

The 3rd XI also face a new challenge this year, having been promoted to the newly-formed Shropshire County Cricket League Division Three last season, following an excellent campaign in 2011. A team that is likely to feature a number of younger faces this year will look to gain further skills at a higher level, and hopefully a good deal of success.
