Result - Lost by 96 runs
Bridgnorth 1st XI produced an end-of-season performance that left them well short of Harborne on Saturday. Winning the toss and deciding to bowl first seemed a smart move when Tom Weaver had early success. However, this proved a false dawn as former Wellington star Tom Davies (58) helped his side to 216-8. Jono Whitney produced an effective spell once again, but the fielding of the Cricket Meadow men left a lot to be desired.
In reply to the challenging target Dave Exall and Whitney both provided runs but their team-mates failed to support them, and Bridgnorth were all out for 120 within 24 overs. Manager Ray Perry was left baffled by the performance. "We had an opportunity to kick on from a decent run of results to bag a top 4 finish, but this performance probably tells us more about the side," he said.
"We need to find consistency and not sandwich performances between failures."

Result - Won by 4 wickets
The 2nd XI maintained their charge for promotion with a 6-wicket demolition of Smethwick at Cricket Meadow.
The visitors had little answer to the Bridgnorth attack as they slumped to 116 all out. Liam Brown and Tom Baugh made early inroads before the seasoned duo of Andy Leather and Steve Caine caused havoc among the lower order.
Another failure for Edwards without scoring gave the visitors hope, before a stand between Andrew Carson, passing 500 runs for the season, and Matt Martin got Bridgnorth's reply under way. Dan Taylor and Greg Lewis then eased the side home to victory.
The result leaves Bridgnorth in second place, 13 points clear of Barnt Green with one game remaining and their fate very much in their own hands.

Result - Lost by 68 runs
A weakened Bridgnorth 3rd XI travelled to Ludlow and were on the end of a 68-run defeat. The hosts batted first and made 181-8 in their 40 overs. Opener Hilman (57) and number 7 Burnley (58) were the main contributors, whilst a rare appearance this season from Henry Davies showed the club what they have missed as he claimed 6-50.
In reply Bridgnorth were dismissed for 113, with Cam Wallis being the top-scorer. Harry Broad and Charles Thornton also contributed, but four batsmen registered ducks in a ultimately disappointing display.
