Matt Martin was named as HQ Sports Bar Man of the Match as Bridgnorth consolidated their second place in the Birmingham Cricket League third division, with an exciting victory on Saturday.

Martin continued his fine form with an unbeaten 59 as the Cricket Meadow men won by three wickets with 10 deliveries to spare.

Coleshill totalled 165-9 after having struggled at 67-5 at one stage, with Tom Weaver (3-32), Jono Whitney (3-41) and Andy Leather (2-11) sharing the wickets.

Bridgnorth looked in trouble at 67-4, but good innings from Jono Whitney (32) and Andy Carson (23) helped to rescue the situation before Gaz Mumford (23) added 56 with Martin.

2nd XI v Old Elizabethans - Saturday 13th June (BDPCL Res Div 1)

Bridgnorth 2nd XI (213) lost to Old Elizabethans (217-7) by 4 runs

Bridgnorth 2nd XI fielded a young side on Saturday, who ended up just four runs short on their travels to Old Elizabethans, who won with just three deliveries to spare.

Steve Caine (3-65) and Glenn Edwards (2-25) were among the wickets for Bridgnorth.

Bridgnorth chased after the runs and were given a good start by Conor Goodwin-Tindall (29), while Rob Hughes (45) and Greg Lewis (30) provided the prelude to a big-hitting innings from Henry Davies (57), who was run out trying to keep the strike.

3rd XI v Guilsfield - Saturday 13th June (SCL Div 5)

Bridgnorth 3rd XI (125-3) beat Guilsfield (124) by 7 wickets

Bowling: E. Lewis 2-30, C. Wallis 3-29, T. Baugh 2-9, B. Leather 2-10.

A superb innings from Ed Lewis, who smashed an unbeaten 73 off only 28 balls, including nine sixes and three fours, saw Bridgnorth 3rd XI achieve Shropshire League success on Saturday.

Guilsfield were skittled for 124 with youngsters Lewis (2-30), Cam Wallis (3-29), Tom Baugh (2-9) and Ben Leather (2-10) sharing the wickets. Martin Jones was unbeaten on 45 for the home side.

Bridgnorth lost three quick wickets in reply before Andrew Mooney (39 not out) was joined by Lewis for the winning partnership.

1st XI v Old Wulfrunians - Sunday 14th June (SSSCL)

Jono Whitney was the star in Bridgnorth's win on Sunday with 106, sharing a big opening stand with Dave Exall, who made 46.

Other main contributors were Greg Lewis (55) and Conor Goodwin-Tindall (26) who helped the lower order boost the total.

Old Wulfs were bowled out for 150 with Alex Thomas (2-32) removing the top order before the rest of the wickets were shared.

2nd XI v Old Wulfrunians - Sunday 14th June (SSSCL)

Club captain Mark MacPherson-Lees turned out for the seconds on Sunday and hit an unbeaten century as the team cruised to victory by 10 wickets with six overs to spare.

Old Wulfs were bowled out for 175 with Ben Leather taking 4-29 and Tom Acton-Willoughby bowling well on his debut.

MacPherson-Lees was given good support by 14-year-old Ollie Gill (35*) in the victory charge.
