Bridgnorth rounded off their title-winning season with a straight-forward victory over bottom club Aston Unity.
Visitors Bridgnorth batted first after winning the toss, and Matt Martin continued his fine end-of-season form at the top of the order. But it was skipper Mark MacPherson-Lees who took the plaudits with the team's only century of the season, being last man out for 103 of his side's 232-9 declared off 44 overs. Ed Lewis also produced a bright cameo to add late order substance to the innings.
In reply, Unity produced their best score of a sorry season for one of the leagues founder clubs, grinding their way to 165 before being all out in the sixtieth over. For the champions Tom Weaver continued his excellent season, and Andy Leather, Ed Lewis and the captain claimed the other wickets.
Bridgnorth skipper MacPherson-Lees returned to the Cricket Meadow base with the Division Three trophy, sparking celebrations for the history-making team. Manager Ray Evans said, "It was all a bit end-of-season with nothing riding on the result, but it was nice to finish with another win."
The captain declared himself thrilled by the achievement and is already plotting next season's campaign. "Make no mistake, this has been very much a team success with everyone playing their part in bringing the trophy to Cricket Meadow. We have bowled well and taken responsibility with the bat, and with only Dave Exall not coming through the ranks its even more pleasing.
"We have earned the right to celebrate this success. This achievement makes us keen for more and next season's step-up may see new faces strengthening the squad. Who knows what we can achieve?!"
