Bridgnorth 3rd XI visited Knockin on Saturday and were involved in a thrilling tie.

The sun came out for a 40-over-a-side match, in which Knockin batted first and rattled up 247-5, with the wickets being shared.

Andrew Mooney and Keiran Osborne made the top scores for Bridgnorth, who needed one run to win off the last delivery, only for the batsman to be run out.

Bridgnorth 2nd XI (121-2) beat Wombourne (120) by 8 wickets

Bridgnorth 2nd XI fielded a very young side at home to Wombourne on Sunday, and showed tremendous promise in winning by eight wickets with four overs to spare.

Wombourne were dismissed for 120 with Christian O'Doyle top-scoring with 50, while Alex Thomas took 4-33 and youngsters Will Reid, Ben Leather and Tom Baugh all claimed wickets.

Bridgnorth overtook the visitors total with good innings from Conor Goodwin-Tindall, Rob Hughes and Ben Taylor.
